E.J.WICKES

Eric was born and raised in the Philadelphia Metropoliton Area. He began
studying college level art at the age of sixteen at the Philadelphia College
of Art, and pursued his passion while in the U.S. Marines. Upon discharge he
was accepted into the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where he
continued his education in drawing, painting, sculpture, screen printing,
and materials and techniques.

Eric lived, worked, and taught in Los Angeles, Ca. for about ten years and
finally returned to his home town of Philadelphia. His work is in the
collection of Independence Blue Cross of Philadelphia, and other corporate
and private collections in the United States and Europe.

Now a resident of Des Moines, Iowa, he co-founded the East Village Art
Coalition, and exhibits his work in the East Village of Des Moines where he
now calls home.
